Oral Health

Taking care of your oral health is necessary, but most people don’t know what it actually entails. Of course, the basics, such as brushing teeth twice a day and flossing daily, are understood. However, they are not the only ones that should be incorporated in your oral care routine.

The human body can repair itself in many ways. However, teeth are the only part of the body that cannot heal. They have a coating called enamel, which does not have the ability to repair or heal because it is not living tissue. The good news is that tooth enamel is recognised as the hardest part of the body, which means it is even harder than your bones. Therefore, it cannot be destroyed easily. However, bacteria are the biggest enemies of the teeth and can come from the sugary foods you consume. If you do not brush and floss, mouth bacteria will multiply and eventually damage your teeth.

Healthy teeth require a lifetime dedication. People who are naturally born with nice teeth do not have an excuse to skip brushing and flossing, as well as other practices. Using the right oral care products, being mindful of eating and drinking habits, and visiting the dentist are all as crucial as brushing and flossing teeth on a daily basis.

Your Guide to Better Oral & Dental Health

For some people, maintaining good oral hygiene is an overwhelming task. It is why it does not come as a surprise that almost 3.5 billion people have oral diseases, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). In Australia, the Department of Health said that three out of 10 people do not see their dentist because they believe dental treatments are expensive. One in four children around the age of five to 10 has tooth decay. In adults aged 15 and up, at least one in 25 people have lost all their natural teeth.
